Location, Location, Location – Mildura’s location makes it’s the perfect place to go hot air ballooning. As ballooning is very weather dependant it is important that your choice of location has stable weather patterns. Inland Australia typically has ideal conditions, unlike coastal areas that are at the mercy of more changeable and wet conditions. Mildura’s weather is so great that the World Hot Air Balloon Championships were held in Mildura in 2004.
Diverse Scenery – Inland Australia can be very “the same” for hundreds of kilometres – however Mildura is not like this. Your flight with us will cover constantly changing scenery from the Murray River, to citrus orchards, vineyards, townships and the outback.
Late Start Times – Ballooning is an early morning activity – however as Mildura is located at the Western Edge of the Eastern time zone our start times are the latest in Australia – so with Mildura Ballooning there is no 3.00am starts. Our start times range from 5.30 am in summer to 7.00 am in winter.
Wakeup Call – Mildura Ballooning is a small operation that offers 5 star personalised service – instead of getting you out of bed and then deciding the weather is no good for ballooning your pilot will check the weather is suitable and only call you when he is confident that the flight will go ahead.
Launch Sites close to town – Mildura Ballooning does not transport our passengers vast distances prior to the flight – our typical flight usually involves a 10 minute or less journey to our launch site for the day and you are usually UP, UP, and AWAY within approximately 30 minutes of pickup. |
